Face to Vase
Face to Vase begins with a visual provocation: the famous Rubin vase, in which one viewer sees a vase while another sees two profiles facing one another. The image itself does not change; what changes is perception.
The underlying message:
We do not all see the same thing in the same way.
One image. More than one way of seeing.
The series is an invitation to linger before an image rather than settle too quickly on one answer. Seeing is never entirely neutral: it is shaped by memory, expectation, mood, and the particular person doing the looking. Face to Vase celebrates that difference—not as confusion, but as one of the pleasures of art.
